I met Hilary and Andrew for the first time when they came to New Orleans for site visits. They are from Chicago, so New Orleans was a destination wedding for them. We ended up knowing some people in common; they went to the same high school as my husband! I had so much fun looking at venues, getting drinks, and getting to know them that weekend. They ended up choosing Hotel Mazarin for their venue; it had the courtyard space they were seeking for the ceremony, along with an indoor space for the reception. It was the perfect location to show their guests a great time and to second line through the French Quarter following the ceremony.
The design for this wedding was simplistic but ended up stunning. Hilary loved greenery and natural florals (also my favorite), and it all came together beautifully. The bridal & bridesmaids’ bouquets were made by her aunt, and our team styled the tables and cake with greenery and tons of candles. I loved the ambiance in that room from all the candlelight, it lent a romantic vibe to the reception space as guests sat down to their dinner, then afterwards danced all night.
My favorite photos from this wedding are the ones taken at City Park. Hilary and Andrew knew that they wanted to be bussed to City Park for bridal party photos before heading to the venue, and the day turned out perfect for that.
